kristen rashkin (formerly kristen pennington)
- joining our staff for 2007-08
Kristen began her dance training here in Cincinnati at the age of
five, loving all styles of dance. She studied at Ballet Tech Ohio
under the direction of Claudia Rudolf Barrett.
Her summer intensives have included Ballet Tech Ohio and Cincinnati
Ballet having worked with master teacher Aleksandr Bondarenko,
Michael Wardlaw, Anna Resnik and Alexi Kremnev, as well as members
of the Cincinnati Ballet Company. A graduate of Loveland High
School, she was on the LHS dance team and was a member of the drama
club and the Thespian Society.
Kristen attended Northern Kentucky University to study theatre and
dance and was a member of the Dance Tour Troupe under the direction
of Jane Green. She later transfered to Wright State University
where she majored in Dance. While at WSU, she was a member of
Dayton Ballet II Senior Company under the direction of Karen Russo
Burke for the 2004-2005 season, and was a member of the WSU Dance
Ensemble.
Having previously taught at several local dance schools in the
Cincinnati/N. KY area, Kristen is thrilled to now be teaching at
MDC! |
