Mason Dance Center main session runs with the school year, late
August or early September through
early June. All our holidays and breaks are
listed below. While our schedules are similar, we do not have
all the same days off that the local
public schools do. All closings listed below figured into the class
count for the year and do not need to be made up.

~class observation weeks
Parents are invited in to observe classes 3 times throughout our main
session. Weeks are listed below. For our summer classes,
observation is the last week of each session. Class observation is
limited for two reasons;
- It is difficult for parents to notice their child's progress by
constant watching
- Many children become easily distracted by visitors in the
classroom thus hindering their progress. Our youngest students
are especially upset by visitors in the room.

Please feel
free to speak to your child’s instructor at any time to learn you child’s
progress.
~snow closings
We do not necessarily close when the local
schools close as our situation is very different than theirs.
In case of inclement weather, (i.e. bad snow, ice storms,
etc.) please check this website
or
check the studio voice mail.
If we must cancel in the middle of the evening, we will make phone calls to
let you know as early as possible.
Cancelled classes will be made up in late spring.
