stephanie weger
- joining our staff for 2007-08
Stephanie started dancing at the age of four.
By the age of ten she knew she wanted to be a dance instructor. She
studied tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, and lyrical at Le Dance
Studios and performed on their competitive teams. In addition to the
team routines she performed numerous solos and duets. After
graduating from Sycamore High School she became an instructor for Le
Dance teaching tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling. Stephanie then
attended Northern Kentucky University where she majored in
Psychology and minored in Dance. She was also a member of the Dance
Tour Troupe at NKU.
Stephanie spent the summer of 2004 working with
Newport High School’s Dance Team teaching beginner ballet
technique. She also put together a summer dance program for Town
and Country Sports Complex in the summer of 2006. One of her
favorite summer events is choreographing for the Fort Thomas Fourth
of July parade each year. She has been choreographing competitive
routines for five years and her students consistently win high point
awards at competitions such as Kid’s Artistic Revue, Showstoppers,
Fabulous Talent, Stage One, and Encore Talent Productions.
In her spare time she loves to find dance
classes to take. She participates with Cincinnati Taps Inc. in
master tap classes. Stephanie is very excited to be joining the MDC
staff! |
