toni hofmann - joining our staff for 2006-07
Toni began her dance training at ten, and quickly progressed as a
young dancer. She trained at Dance Etc. studying hip hop, jazz,
ballet, lyrical and tap. She also joined their competition team,
and competed as both a team member and a soloist. Toni competed all
over Ohio and across the country in several competition circuits
including Rising Star, Kids Artistic Review, Fabulous Talent,
Applause Nationals, and Showstoppers. At these competitions, she
won many awards including Platinum, High Gold, and monetary awards.
In addition to her dance training at Dance Etc., Toni was Captain of
the Glen Este High School Drill Team – The Jewels. The Jewels won
numerous awards in the categories of pom, kick-line, lyrical and
theme, and Toni won an individual Leadership Award that offered her
the opportunity to represent the United States in an international
dance competition in Germany. In college, Toni
continued her dance training as a member of the University of
Cincinnati Dance Team. During her time at UC, the Dance Team
competed in the hip-hop category at Nationals and ranked in the top
10 for the first time in UC’s history. Since college, Toni has
continued her dance training at Cincinnati Dance Academy,
Contemporary Dance Theatre, and Juli Beatti Dance Studio. She has
also taught at local studios including Dance Etc.
Outside of her dance training, Toni has studied
medical massage therapy, and she graduated from Cincinnati State in
June of 2006. She recently completed the State Medical Board Exams,
and pending her results she will be a Certified Massage Therapist.
Toni also works at Jelly Bean Junction Daycare Center.
Toni is very excited to join
Mason Dance Center’s staff this year and is looking forward to
sharing her love for dance with our students. |
